Holiday Club in the morning. Fantastic time! “The Americans” (team FBCSA) got to present Day 3 Bible story: The transfiguration.
A very seemingly theological topic… that through the grace of the Holy Spirit, a child can understand. One Holiday Club student in small group said they wanted to be on Team Jesus, spent time with a counselor and now said they know they are on Team Jesus.
Wow. God is amazing!
Got our first taste of Hang 10 today. Hang 10 is a project with local churches and authorities to build community with children, teens and parents. The idea is normally to “hang 10” minutes at different spots around the community, but if the students are engaged, spend more of the afternoon there.
We ended up spending more than 10 minutes… three hours playing football (soccer), water balloon volleyball, building blocks and a new favorite… sumo wrestling.
Hang 10 is a great way to begin relationships and we are so privileged to help be a part.
Followup from yesterday… will leave you with a photo of typical Holiday Club food– biscuits and squash. Cheers and goodnight!
