We have had an extremely fabulous past couple of days in London and in Ashford!
We were able to go to London for the day to do simply touristy things. Though, God always has a bigger purpose. I, Savannah here, would love to share about how God moved.
The city was extremely beautiful. I just wanted to keep taking photos of random buildings because they were all so old and just like the movies! I was in awe of all of it. But, much more than bulidings and architecture is people. Among all of the millions of people in London, we ran into four we knew – actually four that are housing Nora and Maegan! God is big and personal! Then, we moved onto St. Paul’s Cathedral (sorry wish I had a picture, but will figure out how to load it later). We ran into another More than Gold team and some street preachers from the states. There was a young boy who was so hungry for the Lord. He was asking all sorts of questions, but not open to the truth of the Lord of answers.
My heart was broken in this moment. I sat on the steps of St. Paul’s and wept. It was the lost that moved me, the boy and what t1he boy represented. It is a great task to fulfill, the Great Commission, but even on our day off we are always called to it. I asked the street preachers how they do it, see the lost and see so many people resistant to the gospel everyday. They simply said because they are lost and they have to. We have to tell. Keep telling. People are lost.
In other news,
Ben played the drums for the evening service and did a marvelous job! Well done, as the Brits say. You often don’t think of playing the drums as worship, but he was definitely worshiping. Praise God. Nora and I were able to give our testimonies and Sarah introduced Ashford Baptist to our church and showed them the video of Pastor Don showing us around the church. Ashford Baptist is often so impressed at the size of FBCSA. It’s encouraging them. We also heard from James, their Associate Pastor. He taught on Joel 1, living in the present and surrendering to Jesus. Nora was able to see fruit of her testimony and prayed with a young man to put his faith in Christ. God is good and He moves in so mighty ways! Praise Him!!
It has been 7 full days, 4 more to go… Can’t wait to see what God is going to do! Keep praying. And tell someone about Jesus! He loves them so much.
