Greetings from the end of the earth!
We are ministering this week in a city of about 70,000 in eastern Mongolia – where China, Siberia and Mongolia meet. I feel like I’m in a National Geographic special – what a different world this is! People walking everywhere – few cars – everybody bundled up in quilted coats – little children wrapped in snow suits looking as round as they are tall!
I’m told there are about 300 believers here and 5 churches. There is a large Mormon edifice, too.Our evening meetings have between 35 and 50 in attendance, and the women’s daytime seminar has 20 ladies of various ages. They seem very receptive to our teaching, but out here very few people have English, so we don’t get much feedback.
We finish the meetings today and wrap up our time in Mongolia tomorrow.
Oh, yes, it’s snowing today! Beautiful!
