As we have a chance to sit here at the airport, I start to reflect on all the ways God has been a part of the trip. It began as a hard struggle to put all the pieces together to the point that we actually thought it was not to be. God miraculously started to bring the pieces together and everything came together in a matter of days. Then all the softball equipment began to arrive, even from people we didn’t know. Stuff arrived from all across the US for friends and loved ones in Ukraine. We were faced with the challenge of being able to get everything across to them. Again, we received Gods providence when we found the perfect 2 suitcases at a salvage store to leave in Ukraine. Kappie Coffee dubbed it the Mary Poppins bag because everything we put in it, seemed to fit and it became a bottomless bag. Again, amazed how God got everything in the bags. Larry Boggs asked us to visit his VBS class and talk about our trip and the things we hoped to accomplish. Afterward, the 5th graders surrounded us and began to pray for us, our trip, and the people of Ukraine. Hearing those kids pray, you could almost hear the voice of God. It was one of the most powerful moments in our service to missions. Sometimes you realize when God has blessed you and sometimes you don’t. This time we do.
