It was a very early start to the day for all of us, but we got off the ground from SA without a hitch. We found a beautiful Mid-west summer day waiting for us.
After checking into our hotel Kate Faught shared our first devotional of the week, and she encouraged us all to be “uncomfortable”. Her prayer for us was that we seek more than our own goals and desires, but that we put on God’s purpose for ourselves even if. That puts us in a situation we aren’t used to being in. As she said, we may be the first light of Christ many people ever see. What great encouragement, Kate!
We then loaded the vans and headed to Navy Pier. It was a stunning day to walk along the Boardwalk and spend some time just enjoying the skyline.
We then loaded again, this time to historic Wrigley Field. There is no better place to watch America’s past time than at this great park. Although, I would have enjoyed the Cardinals to win, it’s always a good today to watch baseball.
Tomorrow is another full day, we’ll check in when we can.
I’ll post some pics tomorrow. Thanks for your prayers.
